A FAIR PUZZLE STARTS WITH A GOOD MEMORY
50 wedding crossword clue ideas guests can solve
Choose moments your guests recognize, then write each clue with just enough detail to point toward one answer. These prompts help you collect 8–15 connected answers for a personal table game, cocktail-hour activity or reception keepsake.
PROMPTS 01–50
Start with the parts of your story people remember
You do not need to use all 50. Pick a balanced set: several easy answers for every table, a few personal memories for close friends, and words with overlapping letters so the grid can connect.

- The city where you first met
- The school, workplace or event that introduced you
- The friend who introduced you
- The month or season you met

Add a country, landmark or activity to a place clue when several cities could fit.

- The chore one of you always handles

Use facts guests can safely see in print. Leave out passwords, addresses and private contact details.
The proposal
- The proposal location
- The month of the proposal
- The person who knew the plan first
- The weather that day
- The meal or activity before the question
Example: “The overlook where the question was asked.” A location detail makes the answer fairer.
The wedding day
- The wedding month
- The ceremony city or venue
- Your first-dance artist
- The signature drink or dessert
- The destination planned after the celebration
Keep clues timeless when possible so the finished puzzle still makes sense as a keepsake.
WRITE FOR THE WHOLE ROOM
Turn a memory into a fair crossword clue
“Our favorite food” is broad. “Our Friday-night dinner, wrapped in a tortilla” gives solvers a useful path.
Let every table solve a few answers. Save the deeper memories for a smaller number of satisfying challenges.
Mix short and long answers with common letters. Every answer must share letters with the rest of the puzzle.
A practical set: start with 10–12 answers. Read every clue aloud, remove ambiguous wording, and check names and accents in the answer key. The Studio supports 8–15 connected entries; spaces and punctuation stay out of the grid.
Previewing is free. A custom two-page Letter or A4 PDF with a separate answer key is $9 once for US customers. Digital file only; no subscription or physical printing.
